| ACCESS Access stands for Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, and Students Statewide. This program consists of distant learning for teachers and students through technology. Access provides Alabama public high school students with additional educational benefits. Basically, one hundred and ninety four schools are participating in Access so far. Access requires a “ 21st Century Classroom”. This includes computers, software, headphones, and etc. Each school that participates receives a grant for eighty five thousand dollars to supply and create their “21st Century Classroom”. I would use Access to better benefit my students. There are some children who need that extra help and Access might help them. Through distant learning, one could manage to have more time to spend when it comes to their studies. I think Access is a great program for schools to use. There should be more schools joining this program. Also, this classroom gives student experience with technology. As time goes on, technology is increasing drastically. It is important to know how to use the computer and other items closely related. Through Access a student can learn through new technology and that is what makes this program so great to use. |
